For patients who have not found adequate relief with traditional antidepressant medications, we offer two powerful advanced treatment options — Spravato and TMS Therapy. Both are available at Essential Psychiatry in Medical Lake, covered by most major insurance plans including VA, TriCare, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Spravato (Esketamine)
Spravato is an FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression and MDD with suicidal ideation. Administered in our clinic under medical supervision, it works differently from conventional antidepressants and may provide faster symptom relief — many patients notice improvement within the first week. Typically administered twice weekly for approximately two months. Covered by the VA and most major insurance plans. All veterans need is a VA referral.
TMS Therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is the preferred and recommended treatment after failed antidepressant therapy. FDA-approved and non-invasive, it uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate the area of the brain that controls mood — with no medication, no sedation, and minimal side effects. Short in duration, long in relief — sometimes permanent. Covered by most insurances including VA, TriCare, Medicare, and Medicaid.
