Manic depressive disorder, also known as bi-polar disorder, is a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression).
At Natural Health Center, we are dedicated to helping patients with bi-polar disorder and to help them find their life again.

Our psychiatry department at Natural Health Center is led by Candie Wellwood, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and medication management for depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and other mood disorders in the children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Candie is also a USAF Staff Sergeant (ret) and understands all to well the struggles and traumas that our veterans and first responders can experience on a daily basis.
It is her passion to help those in need, to help them find relief, to manage their mental health and to find a life that is worth living again.
Candie Wellwood, PMHNP-BC
Candie Wellwood, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and medication management for depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and other mood disorders in the children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
She is an Air Force Veteran who has witnessed firsthand how a lack of mental health treatment can lead to both physical and mental disability.
As such, she is passionate about providing a voice for individuals who lack the opportunity to advocate for themselves.
